Example: Design of  armature (structure)  to sculptures by Johan Hedborg,  Faidon Design.An armature is used as a "skeleton" inside a clay model to a sculpture. When the cast is done, the armature can be reused.The armature has ball joints with adjustable friction. Compared with a traditional "wire skeleton", final tuning of  positions can easier be done.
